i injoyed readin your paper. i like the fact that you put in how we learned alot about food in 2 weeks lol. o an i also like how u included the thing thats going on with brad an angalina an there 50 kids. like really somebody needs to focus on that. but isnt she giving money to where ever there kids are from. my question to you about the collapes is do u think our oil will run out before we are posioned by our food that we eat everyday?.

omg chloe this is a long paper i dont even know where to start. i liked how you felt the same way i did when i first came into andys class an how it got better for you later on in the year. i also like the fact how u added pics to your paper to connect to the birth,food section. my qusetion to you is since i know you are vegeterian, do your ever miss eating meat an if what helps you fight the erg?.

Final Essay 700 + WORDS
US practices (government, capitalism, birth, health care, economic inequality, food, energy)
after the first semester i started to like this class because we moved away from the acutal history such as capitalism an all that, which to me is history. when that was done we moved into social studies actual things that we can use an do in our social life.
BIRTH is somthing that everybody goes an went through, i injoyed hearing diffrent people experience of birth from female to male. i was told what my parents went through to have me an how was it for both my mom an dad. me being my moms 3rd child an my dads first it was cool hearing what they had to say. i never knew that i was born from a c section so yea it was cool.
HEALTH CARE what a crazy section that andy thought us i didnt realize how people health care was so bad in america but in the other country is it better. that goes to show you that america's government doesnt really care much about there own people. i also found this cool because this is somthing that everybody need an with out it we are walking on thin ice because whos to say somthing wont happen to you sooner or later an if you have no health care to pay for you to get better then you might die. o an before i forget, the homeless people that doesnt have health care are treated worst, it is not there fault they can not pay, if they are sick or hurt they should be taken care of.
FOOD UNIT was one of the most section that i can connect to because i am a big eater an learning about how the stores persaude you to buy the things that are right in front of your face as soon as you enter the door, it feels like they are forcing the food on the person that walks in the door, but it is weird how they talk about being healthy but yet they put chips an greasy food in front of the door an apples behind the chips. we also notice the foods are place for peoples eye level for example my eye level had hungry man an for katies it was kid quizen. so i gues i can say the super markets are based off of the people eye level an what will draw them in. another thing that we did during this food section was watch videos that showed us how food that we eat was being mistreated such as pigs,chickens,an cows. all of these animals are not free to do anything they want they are in cages an are not being feed the right stuff. also during this section andy had us watch a few movies name "MEATRIX" an "COWS WITH GUNS", meatrix showed us how animals were being mistreated an how they were speeding up the process of killing the animal for more profit, the fast the humans worked to move the dead animal the more profit the company made. cows with guns was one of the funniest videos i ever seen it showed the cows breaking free an buring down all the buger kings because that is what they were killing the cows to make. but at the end when the human finally stop the cows from destroying the city the chickens came in helicopters to help the cows fight back. i think that this whole section was very interesting because it showed us the damage that humans were doing to the animal population just for money. an i also think andy showed us this video to make us eat more healthy because the way we are eating it will not lead to a good place, things just will get worst an we might just end up eating animal crap if we keeping going the way we going.
ENERGY is our last section that i also found interesting. i have been watching the discovory channel for years, i have been following the videos of the oil falls to the futureistic view of how the earth will look in a few years to the view of how the earth will look with out humans. all of these thing connect to the energy section because everything revolves around oil. andy told us about the collapes of the world if we were to run out of oil, he said that the humans wont beable to survive an he is right. if u think about it everything we use,wear,do, is based off of oil if we keep going the way we going the oil level will drop very fast an i hate to say it but the humans will die unless we find another way to survive with out using oil. the video on the discovery channel of the world with out humans is the best example of how the earth will be when the human die off from the oil lose. an the other video of the futureistic view of earth is a good example showing us how we can live with out using fossil fuel, but using another meathod to survive.
our way of life is not going the right way but if we try to change now we might have a chance to survive. i think it is dumb that we are still using fossil fuel because sooner or later we gonna run out of it. why dont we use somthing that we have alot of such as sun light,air, or even water. but no they want to dig into the earth an try to get oil that will run out soon. were gonna be mad when we cant eat or are struggling to survive. how do your survive with out somthing that we use everyday.

Collapse Assignment 2 - Short and Smart
i read the first article an this is what andy went over in class today. the oil has a vertex of the amount of barrels sold per day by the millions. the graph that was shown said that this genration hit our "peak oil" which is the vertex/high point around 2004-2006 selling over 80 millions barrels of oil a day. as everybody know that after the vertex the graph starts to go down ether rapidly or slowly. our genration is going down slow. after 2011 or 2012 is when the drop will happen an that is when the price of the oil will raise because we are running out of oil. they said that we wont run out of oil fully but we are running out of the amount that we need to keep our economy running.
"The human body is 70 percent water. The body of a 200 pound man thus holds 140 pounds of water. Because water is so crucial to everything the human body does, the man doesn't need to lose all 140 pounds of water weight before collapsing due to dehydration. A loss of as little as 10-15 pounds of water may be enough to kill him". this is the best example to connect to the oil. what this is saying is that we dont need to run out of all the oil to start dying off.

ok well that article to me personaly was so boring maybe its just me but the end was the most important part. to make it short the people on the island ran out of things to make the statue so they started using there own resources because they liked building the statues so much. so because they used there own resources the people ended up dying out (there civalization collapse) because they used all of there resources.
i think andy showed this to us because the people notice that they were running out of there resources but still kept using them. which is basicly what we are doing with our oil. our whole life is based on oil an we are running out of it an we noticed already but how can we stop using it if thats what we use to do everything. the only thing we can do is try to make another thing to take oils spot but it seems that nobody is really looking into it.

ADD ONS
i was late for history class in the computer lab so i wasnt able to add on to the paper. on class on monday binta gave me the idea to talk about industrialised farm this is speeding up the process of the vegetables and animals. once again the meatix video showed me that the faster the more profit an that is what the people want the most. they care more about profit then the health of the animals or the plants.

FINAL PROJECT
well i watched the videos an the first one the drawn me in was the cows with a gun. i found it funny. i like the fact that the cows tried to turn back on the humans an burn down the burger king because that is what the cows were being made into "burgers". the song kept repeating cows have fun i guess that meant to show that the cows were not having fun in the farm an now that they can run free they had fun. i didnt like the fact that the humans at the end over powered the cows an was given the order to turn them into woppers. but i did like that the chickens came to help the cows since i guess the chickens also noticed that they were being turned into fast food to. i think this video was to show how the cows would live a good life if they were set free an were to run with the buffalo an not turned into burgers. the cow guru made me think about the meatix because he was the only one that wanted a diffrents in the cow life an in the meatix the pig,chicken, an the cow were the ones that wanted to changed how the animals were being treated an turned into food. sometimes it is funny to see the things that we eat fight back because all the years we have been eating it all of the food want to team up an fight back. me as the person i am i find it funny but also messed up that we have pushed the animals this far to fight back. it is the same thing as a human if you keep pushing a human sooner or later they will fight back an now for the animals there are humans wanting to fight back for the animals because they see what is going on to the animals. the video also showed that the farms are rushing the deaths of cows, it shows the cow sitting down eating getting fatter an then dieing then as soon as it dies they send it to the fast food company an that can also connect to what i seen in meatix when they speed up the process to make more profit. the humans are more focused on getting money then thinking bout the population of the animal. this also connects to the video we watched in class called "VROOM-Farming for Kids" an even the name makes it seem like they are speeding up the process.

FOOD #8 Industrial Food
well the videos that were given i watched the "meatix" series an i was interested i guess because it was animated but beyond that fact. the video showed us how the animals were being mistreated an not keep in a healthy condition which is bad for us when we get to eat it. the video to me was saying due to industrial companies an the work of machines the farms are becoming dirty an are making it bad for us. an also bad for the people who work there. they are more focused on profit an not the health of the human who handles the food. the video had a scene when the humans where bleeding in the food or getting injured because they cut them self from how fast the food was coming at them. an they also showed how the digestive system of the animal with all the blood an all the manure as they said was leaking all over the meat that the workers were cutting.
